Welcome screen module (SOLVED)

After uploading and attempting to install a picture into a product that (i think ) was to big i ended up with the welcome screen text all missing. I have read a few posts in the forum where people have encountered the same problem but cannot find a solution for the fix if there is one. I have used a recent backup of the database but still the welcome module and some other text in products does not restore. Can somebody tell me if there is any way i can get this text back as i do not know where it is stored in the database and thought that restoring a full backup would cure it.

Wijnendael, I can't see how these two things are connected - uploading a large product image and welcome page text. Can you send a link to your site?

Hi, thanks for the reply. After further checking i found that it was not only the welcome text that was gone but also most of the text descriptions for products and also all the text from the information pages. I have a full shop backup and database backup on a local pc so i have run this via xampp localhost and managed to copy and paste the texts back into the online shop (with a couple of errors resulting see below). I am running version 1.5.1.3 and the problem came when i uploaded a photo and inserted it into a product, after searching the forum and web i found that others had encountered the same problem which was caused by the image being to big. I would like to say that doing this causes Catastrophic results and anybody with large numbers of products will end up with a lot of work trying to get their shop working again. I did try using a day old database backup to restore the text files but this did not work (however it seemed to work on my local copy of the shop) whatever it did makes it impossible to restore the text from a backup of the database.
I still have a problem now where after replacing the texts in the information pages a couple of them now come up with page not found when trying to load them in, have i done something wrong here as i cannot see any faults when checking them in the admin and they look the same as the ones that are loading ok.
Can somebody tell me if this image problem has been fixed in later versions than 1.5.1.3 so that the image size is checked or resized when uploading.
