Hiding shipping costs

How can I hide Shipping costs on checkout steps, basket, and e-mail, when the shipping costs are zero...

It's still a good idea to show a line item for zero dollar shipping costs. People like getting free shipping, and you're telling them they're getting it. Also, if multiple shipping methods are available (perhaps with paid shipping being faster), they have a consistent experience compared with when free shipping is the only method available.

I agree with swguy -- but if you want to do this, you'll need to find someone who can edit the "Shipping" Order Total line item to not be active when the cost is $0.
