Hi:
I have installed opencart on amazon ec2 Ubuntu. Currently http://www. < myDomain >.com loads open cart at "/www/var/opencart/" .
How do I create a second store with domain http://www.shopOne. mydomain >.com
Thanks.

Since the shopOne link indicates that you've paused working on at least that one store during the past two months, I'll go ahead and respond, even if superficially. Alternate stores and multiple stores can be set up much as you would on other, more ordinary servers. You have the advantage, in EC2, that you can set up multiple SERVERS as well as multiple (sub)directories and (sub)domains, and the servers can be variously private and publically addressable, all in a (true, long) twinkling.

Be sure to keep frequent backups of everything (everything), using Snapshots and other means. If you use current Firefox, then look into the extension/plugin/module Elastifox, which speeds working with much of your https account, athough some modules such as smtp still require going into the htts account.

hi butte:
Thanks very much for your reply.
Sorry not pointing out my problem more clearly, it is not so much on EC2, but more about how to set multi store without cpanel.
I have asked the question in a better way at:

Okay, then, you DID set up its own subdomain, and they're apparently sharing the same database, so (and here minding the potential idiosyncrasies of EC2 billing for both whatchagot in the first place plus monthly storage, as you might see under your account usage and billing) you can try giving the second one either its own database or its own database prefix, which can preliminarily be loaded (Restore or Import) with with the contents of the other one (Backup or Export). You can use the two admin panels' Settings / Restore or the phpMyAdmin (cPanel is not the only panel with that) to grab the existing one and get it into the second database or second database prefix. Remember to ensure that the two config.php files for the second one reflect the database change (new database or new prefix). (Remember, too, to mark both threads as Solved when it stays fixed).
