Need advice on uploading

I am trying to upload a language file. I tried through dreamweaver and filezilla. When I do the server test, all is okay, but when I try to upload the file it give me a permission error. What am I doing wrong here?

Typically when a permission error is returned it means the server administrator has not given you permission to upload to the location you are trying to upload.

If you have shared hosting, or better, you may be able to chmod the language dir to 755, or 777 which will allow you to upload.

If you also get permission denied to do that then you'll need to contact your servers system administrator as permissions may have accidently got set incorrectly on the file which would require the root account to fix.
