This is a small issue, but it's bugging me so I need to fix it. I performed a fresh install of open cart a few days ago at my soon to be store www.jiujitsugi.net. When I navigate to the /admin, I'm redirected to /admin/?url=jiujitsugi.net/admin. I'm not sure where that query string is being generated from, but there doesn't seem to be any rewrite rules in the htaccess file related to the admin. Maybe I'm wrong. I don't know. Any help would be appreciated.
When I type in /admin/index.php the admin page loads as expected and I am able to log in this way. It just seems like I shouldn't have to do this.

Why don't you just type in yourdomain.com/admin and be done with it?

Except that "index.php" is not appearing in the string, the difference would ordinarily owe merely to that between hitting a button for admin access and simply putting the trailing admin/ in the address bar and hitting that. The difference appears from syntax to suggest that the lower index.php (when a button his hit) is calling the admin index.php, which if addressed directly (no button) has its own control of (ordinarily) the entire screen. However, since "index.php" is not appearing in the string (resembling http://www.jiujitsugi.net/index.php?rou ... on/contact), and the string bugs you, doublecheck your .ht* files, as well as all of your redirection (stealth, nonstealth) or dns values (preferably you don't have both of those set at once) with both your registrar and hosting accounts, to ensure that there's no discrepancy. If you changed any of those values, wait a full 72 hours for full global propagation among nameservers (web traffic is purposely circuitous in order to prevent attacks upon single nodes from halting all of it), or with Maryland and Florida in view, at least 24-48 hours Stateside.
He's right, use a button or go in addressed to website/admin/ . . .

Remembering or forgetting to proofread, rename files, even to upload them, etc., is a luxury of having intelligence to do it in the first place. Wait till you're old enough that your mind declines to remember trivia and remembers exactly where they can be looked up.
