There are some very strange choices in the admin UI of opencart.
1. One of them and the most annoying is the site-wide usage of autocomplete. This is a functions that makes sense in some cases but when using this function for Categories selection and Manufacture is just plain wrong.
If I have 300 categories it is more difficult to remember the name and type it than scroll trough the list and jus check the categories I want (as it was before the last update).
There are more UI solution that can combine both and work much better like http://harvesthq.github.com/chosen/
2. One other UI problem is related to the multi language feature. It can be that I want the frontend of the store in danish but the admin language must be in english. This is possible without problems but when adding a product I need to add the required information both in Danish an English wich is stupid because is just extra work for the admin.
3. Adding attributes and options it is also strange what if I have 40 attributes should I remember the names in order to be able to add them to a product? The solution can be similar to the one of the categories.
4. Images uploaded to a product that have the same name are overwritten without a warning.
Most of this stuff can be fixed now using VQmode but I think that some of the "improvements" are just bad UI decisions.
