Shipping module for different attributes

Hi,

I'm new to opencart and am having trouble locating a shipping module to suit our needs. We have products which are available in various sizes and finishes so they are set up as single products with the various attributes as product options. The cost to ship each of these options is different so we need a shipping module that can distinguish between the product options selected. We also have different costs then for different geozones. Can anyone suggest a shipping module can do this?

There are no shipping method extensions available for charging based on product option. The best you're going to do, unless you want to hire someone to write a customized solution for you, is to use the weight of the product option to determine the shipping cost. You could then use Product-Based Shipping (www.opencartx.com/product-based-shipping) to set different weight-based costs for each product or group of products.

Did you ever find a solution to your problem? I have the same issue (items different attributes - size mostly - that need to be shipped differently!

Not resolved as yet as I had to put that project on hold for a bit. I'm looking at it again and was considering purchasing one of the available shipping modules and getting a coder to customise to suit. Perhaps if you're still looking for something we could split the cost? Let me know asap.
