Swedish localization

I've played with the Cart for a couple of days now and also translated the ‘catalog’ to Swedish, not the ‘admin’ yet. But in order to be useful in Sweden, and also in the whole Scandinavia I believe, I need to do some changes. Here are the first three:
- In the ‘Account’ I need to get rid of ‘Region/ State’ it does not exist here. Also is the table for Sweden totally wrong and confusing.
- We need to put ‘Post Code’ as required.
- We do not need 'Telephone number' as required.
For the first item: Of course I can blank the text and empty the table, but still I’ve one empty dropdown list on the screen.
Has any body handled such changes without running into the source for hard coding?

I'll dig into the code later this week and se if and how I can solv the 'vat' and 'state' problem.The 'telefphone' and 'post code' issues I've already solved the dirty way. If its works I'll complete the translation and publish it.

But even if it doesn't - I'm really interested in the swedish translation files
