I know latest version is better but I want to know what is the stable version of OpenCart?

Does 1.5.3.1 and 1.5.4.1 has same core? Because I have some extensions and modifications in my 1.5.3.1 and I don't want to break those tweaks.maccadon wrote:1.5.4.1. is the one that's still the most supported with extensions. Actually when I read maccadon advice I was lost because I don't know how can I compare the files from download section reading change logs especially in github. Sorry guys I'm not really familiar in github. Again, thank you maccadon and Qphoria for taking the time to reply to my question.

lol sorry.. not to knock you.. its just that mixing files between 2 versions will likely cause havoc because there are so many dependencies on tiny changes. Like a simple change to the options means you also have to change the cart library, a bunch of admin files, the checkout page code, etc.maccadon wrote:Well my advice was bad anyway, so sorry about that. It is always best to treat php files like binaries that you never edit or mismatch.
