I downloaded a fresh copy and uploaded ... i get Internal Server Error if i try to install .

Normally, when you upload files to your host, permissions are set to 644 on all files and folders. For some hosts, permissions on some files need to be different. Try setting permissions on "index.php", "admin/index.php" and "install/index.php" to 664.

It was like that when I found it, honest!
this is driving me nuts. just deleted magento store. moved over to open cart. installed everything perfect. clicked to go to admin section and bingo, 500 interanl error. folowed everything in this post. even installed phpinfo.ph. host guys checked it. said all fine. deleted admin folder and reup'ed. still doesnt work. any ideas anyone?
i deleted .htaccess and renamed from .txt as install instructions... really confused now. need this working asap. done everyting in install, super confused. have i missed anything? see post above from me? hope u can help, cos i love the concept of opencart. but need it to work. thanksDaniel wrote:try delete .htacess aswell.
