How to custom own template

Hi,
I am a new user for opencart.
I am not good with htmls and websites I need major help.
How do I edit the template? I need to upload my shop icon and make some minor color changes on backgrounds and bars.

Dude! do some search in general categories...like specific things...

e.g. adding logo, modifying xyz etc.

Anyways. Logo can be added from the admin section. Styling from CSS stylesheet. graphics in the images folder of your template.

I am trying to find my public html and CSS files
to change the template and styles
but I am not how I can find them on my server.

I have not worked on super many servers but mine has a folder called public_html. This is where you should find your files. Other wise in the domain folder...so the structure looks like this

Domain/your domain name/ admin & catalog folders and other files...

So you will need to go in to the catalog/view/template/your template name/ css & images
