Adding a slideshow banner in a custom static page

Hello All,

I have made a static page via this tutorial http://www.opencartnews.com/tutorials/c ... rt-part-1/. The two things i want to know is how to attach this to the admin panel and how to add a slideshow manually in the .tpl files if i cannot add it to the admin panel. Im a newbie so a detailed explanation or tutorial would be great.Thanks in advance
