Hi Qphoria!

I am returning after a long time, nice to see new stuff in the site :)
Things look much more better, not that it was bad earlier, but change is always refreshing!
So good work bro! And now back to work...

Alrite I got a OpenCart 0.7.7 installed in a site and I wanna upgrade to the latest version.
What is the safest way to upgrade without losing any of your data.

Kind Regards

first let me clarify that this forum is for OpenCart which is Daniel's code, not mine
if you are using 0.7.7 you could goto the latest version (now known as ChromiumCart).

But if you want to go to OpenCart 1.x, you will need to start fresh as it is just very different.

Hi Qphoria,

I am a user of the old version 0.7.x. Could you give me some information what happend with this great project because I lost of the orientation. I instaled my OpenCart in 2007 and upgraded in 2008, and it was Daniel's system. Do you want to say that this 1.x version is completly different project, by different people? So couldn't I easily make the products and customers migration? And old's 0.7.x continuation is new project ChromiumCart with last version 0.8.x? Why did you do those changes?

Thank you for the answer,
ytr

Daniel decided to changed the framework and ditch the old 0.x stuff so we spun it off into a new name while OpenCart went on towards 1.x

Chromium was my adventureland to try new things. Many good, some could be better. But it helped me learn a lot about whats good and bad and how to do different things.

Thank you for the explananation. So it seems that anyway it is better to use a new Opencart than Chromiumcart because of better support and more often updates?
