Pro templates

I have been looking into making a pro template (one of templatemonster) compatible with opencart. I contacted them please read below:

If I purchase a template from you can I modify it and code it for a different system (I.E opencart) and then release it again as an opencart theme?

yes, if you do this multiple times, not just 1 time

So my question is, if I where to purchase a license how many people would be willing to donate towards the template if they like it and want to use it? Also how much? If any at all?

without violating copyright violations, its still very easy to mimic a layout and the only requirement to -not- violate the copyright is you have to write it from scratch, which honestly having ported a few "professional" templates...will be almost required anyway. I'm only pointing this out because there's not much reason to pay for something you can reverse engineer in most likely the same amount of time.

So from what your saying if I rebuild a design from scratch (which I will have to so it will fit opencarts template system) then that should be ok?

hehe ya if you build it yourself there's not much that can be said. You cant use their images if any are used, but that kind of stuff is easily replicated.
