Internet Explorer 8 - Product Page Issue

The product page does not seem to display correctly in IE8. Everything that follows the 'tags' text does not appear (the footer does not appear). None of the tabs (Descrtiption, Reviews and Related Products etc) are not rendered properly and do not work. Its seems as though the page is not fully loding.

It behaves in this way when installed locally on my PC, and uploaded to a web server.

This can be replicated in the http://demo.opencart.com/

I'm not having the same issue in Chrome or IE7.

The version im using is v1.5.4.1

Is this a known issue? is there a fix for this?
