Hey folks,

i've searched the web and those forum for hours but didn't find a solution.
Problem is: Those annoying missing orders after a otherwise completed paypal-checkout. I receive an email from paypal, get the money, paypal gives me an IPN - message ID of "200" (meaning everything's fine, right?), cUrl is enabled, customers get redirected to the shop and even when they press the obligatory "continue" button, the orders are missing.

Any suggestions on this? I read it might have something to do with a bad .htaccess file. But how to check this?
The store is in a subfolger, say: shop.mydomain.com
this gets redirected via my webhoster to the subdirectory www.mydomain.com/shop/

In the Admin Panel of the shop, everything is set to shop.mydomain.com, and no RewriteBase in .htaccess is set. I once tried to set RewriteBase to /shop/ instead of / , but this caused just Internal Server Error.

SEO-Friendly urls are working perfect by the way.

So ANY other idea if the missing-paypal-orders could have somethhing to do with the subdomain-thing? Or any hint where to search for the mistake? Of course i went throught the paypal-config-FAQ three times and checked all settings.

many thanks,
tele

Not sure whats causing the issue, someone else might know, but i do remember an old trick to show missing orders in the orders list, perhaps that might be a temp fix for now, have a search for it.

SXGuy,

sure, i know how to find and change the missing orders, but it would be great and timesaving to find the reason for the error.
By the way: with sofort.com, another instant payment gateway, it's the same. just missing orders, but nothing gets completed. =(

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Anybody out there who might be able to help? Would be *really* great. 8)

The thing is: All orders are processed fine (as pointed out in my original post) at paypal/sofort, and paypal gives me IPN code "200" for all transactions.
BUT the shop-log doesn't show a connection to paypal/sofort at all. How could this be? I've searched the net and this forum again for hours, all i find regarding this problem are posts saying "might be a server misconfiguration/htaccess problem". But how to track this down or check specifically?
???

Many greetings!,

After 2 days of mind numbing searching I fixed the error where sales were not being recorded in admin as well as customer area. All sales ended up as "missing sales". This is with version 1:5:4

The simple answer that worked for me was to download the encryption.php file using version 1:5:4:1 and overwriting the
old file in system/library/encryption.php

!! That did half the trick!
(paypal works like a charm now, sofort.com still the same). Anyway: Thanks a lot!

Mapperman you are a hero. When I checked the changelog for 1.5.4.1 it states:

"A problem was found with the encryption class that stopped files being decrypt, paypal and moneybookers from working correctly

To upgrade from 1.5.4 you only need to replace the system > library > encryption.php file"
