Several different carousels won’t work

On the menu at the home page I have several manufacturers. When I click on one of them I wish that that page shall have a carousel showing that manufacturer’s products and when I click on another manufacturer I wish to have a carousel showing that manufacturer’s products and so on. I think that I have tried all possible ways but either I get the same carousel on all manufacturers’ pages or no carousel at all. I have made a carousel for each of the manufacturer and in admin-system-design-layouts I have pasted respectively manufacturer’s page's URL into the route window but that has no effect. So, I can’t figure it out how to get a separate carousel for each of my manufacturer. Someone who can? I’m running OC version 1.5.2.1.

Instead just customize carousel for manufacturer page which will only appear on manufacture page and automatically display products according to manufacturer.

When the categories names are the manufacturer name:

Goto System - Design - Layouts
- Insert new layout
- - Name: Manufacturername
- - Route: Manufacturername

Edit category Manufacturername
- Tab Design
- - Layout override: Manufacturername

Edit Banner
- Layout: Manufacturername

Thank you guys. You lifted a heavy burden from my body. Everything work as I wished now.

The problem is that manufacturer names are not category names, they are separate. Since manufacturers (Catalog --> Manufacturers) do not offer the option for a Layout Override the above description does not work.

What can be done to add specific carousels or banners or slideshows to each individual manufacturer?
