I would like to be able to set different prices on different websites for a multistore setup (without any logging-in tricks just for new customers viewing the stores) ... so ...
cameraX = $450 on website1.com
cameraX = $350 on website2.com
What are the chances this feature may be included in a future release in the near future?
It's probably too specific of an item to be added in a future release - most people I think have the same price across all stores instead of competing with each other.
You could do a mod to let you enter in different prices when you add a product. Would have to add a field to the database and then call that price in place of the normal one for store 2. Or if store 2 will always be a set reduced price like $100 off or x%, you could do a calculation in store 2 when it displays the pricing.
Haven't tried to do either but you could probably find a coder to do it.

Running Opencart v3.0.3.9 with multi-stores and the default template from https://www.labeshops.com which has links to all my stores.

no luck with opencart. forget it.

1. magento (already setup for multistore pricing but you cannot make your stores 100% unrelated as they are on the same server)
2. bizelo inventory mgmt application with two shopify stores (or even two separate magento stores)

Or you can duplicate the product, set different prices and enable them on respective stores.

Well, if there was an option to simply add a new price, it would make things better. Firstly, it would free up my database, secondly, I can keep track of my products better.
forget opencart for different pricing ... i talked to an experienced developer and it wasnt a simple mod.
if you use bizelo & shopify, you can track your products and then the quantities are updated real-time.
obviously multi-store magento, is a good solution but users can do some research and find out that you are the same seller on different webstores (maybe not a big problem but it was for me!).

so to clarify my email ...
option 1 ... magento is great for multi-store with many more features incl completely separate pricing, however it is
difficult to completely separate your identity between the stores if somebody is superkeen to research.
option 2 ... just use a few separate magento or shopify stores (or maybe even opencart if it is now compatible) ... and use the bizelo app to keep stock levels integrated
