Split Payments Across 2 Months

We need to be able to split up someone's payments onto 2 consecutive months (for example the way that QVC does it). AFAIK that would take a gateway with recurring payments support. Client uses Chase Paymentech. I wouldn't be opposed to switching gateways if that's what takes (Authorize.net would be my pick) but AFAIK, Chase does support recurring payments, however we're not sure where to start on the implementation.

Anyone have any experience here? Let me know if you're interested.
