I have uploaded many themes to the catalog/view/theme/ folder and none show in the settings to be selected.
Not sure what I could be doing wrong here, but I am a rookie so anythings possible.
Which version of OpenCart are you using? Version 1.3.0 required you to have a "screenshot" of your template in the "image/templates" folder. Without it you could not change templates through the administration. This has been fixed in 1.3.2.

I'd need more info to be able to help you out. Can you post the current folder/file structure of one of your template folders so I can see that everything is sitting where it should be?
