Activation of SEO Friendly URLs Kills Admin CP

When activating SEO Friendly URLs, and changing .htaccess.txt to .htaccess I find that my Admin Backend CP no longer becomes accessible. I have changed the Admin CP directory. Any ideas?

I thought the problem was being caused by the SEO Auto-Fill vQMod Extension. However it turns out that the problems is STILL present!

Any recommendations?
