How to add a required birthdate in registration form

no-plugins: vqmod uninstalled

Hi there, I'm looking for a way to integrate a required date of birth for user registration form. I've tried vqmod but without any success... the plugin is well installed but do nothing... So I'm looking for another way to do that proper and don't find any infos, even in french...

So can someone help me with this? I have found a lot of "pseudo-tutorial" about it... But any of them speaks about the required birthdate. I want to be able to see the dates in administration > clients if possible...

Any help?
