I did all the above too:
a) First I downloaded all the 5 packages;
b) Had them all in a brand new folder;
c) Unpacked them all;
d) Zipped with plain zip program and uploaded the zipped file to my domain;
e) Unzipped that file into it's own directory (upload);
f) Deleted all the files from the root folder (domain folder that is);
g) Moved all the files from the upload folder to the root folder;
h) Removed the empty upload folder;
i) pointed the browser to http://mydomain.xxx/install;
j) Entered all the required information;
k) Upon completion, I clicked in GOTO TO YOUR STORE FRONT;
l) Got a bunch of errors;
m) repointed the browser to http://mydomain.xxx/install;
n) It gave me a confirmation of upgrade and requested removing the install foder;
o) Removed the install folder;
p) Everything works with English and Euro.
Added the Brazilian Real, BRL, R$, 2, 1.00000 enable;
Modified Euro to blank value and disabled;
Modified the language to Portuguese / enable;
Modified the language English to disabled;
Modified the system/store to Brazil / Distrito Federal / Portugues / Portugues / ....
ADMIN everything is in portuguese;
Store is in English.
Cleared all the cookies, cache, STILL ENGLISH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Your store is in Portuguese for me on Firefox. The only things that are still in English which you will have to manually fix are the category/menu and product names. Try <CTRL> + <F5> a couple times to force refresh the page or better yet, take a look with a different browser.

Funny, that Package is great! Really! But, like all good things, there is a problem: once you use that version, everything else goes to hell (keep in mind that I am almost too new to php and 2 day new into opencart). Now, shipping does not appear. The options to pre-calculate the shipping costs does not appear.
It looks like it changes too much stuff around.
With that in mind, I just picked up the two folders:
folder portuguese from catalog/languages
folder portuguese from admin/languages
Made a clean install in a test domain, uploaded does two folders to their location .... wooala! Got the language and the freedom of the original 1.5.3 version.

Working for about 48 hours (not straight) with opencart, I believe that it is a good thing. As a new convertor (from a different system), I found the ability to add new products a bit slow when you already have all the stuff "on hand".
If I knew enough about php, I would contribute a BATCH PRODUCT INSERTION MODE specially on the multiple pictures for a single product.
It looks like it changes too much stuff around.
With that in mind, I just picked up the two folders:

Glad to hear it, you may want to look into the extension store for the word 'import' as there are many tools available for that.
Side note, I know the word you are trying to use but the problem is it's derived from "French". Woo-ah-la is phonetically close, the actual word is "voila" and the literal translation is "there you go" or "there you have it". Thanks for the good laugh.

Folks, I am sorry a lot of you have faced difficulties with the package. Looking at many of the posts, most of the difficulties arise when folks try to upgrade, but don't follow upgrade instructions.
I have been away from Opencart for about a year and hence wasn't able to help out.
In the next couple of weeks, I will release a new package updated up to 1.5.3.1. I'll try to ensure make the upgrade process more error-free, as well as provide clearer upgrade instructions upfront.
After the release of the new package I will be able to devote a bit more time to helping out in case of problems.

I have some mail problem when changing into Danish languages.
When a product is orders by a customer a confirmation mail is newer send, I don't receive a notification mail.
When the language is set to English no problem appears. The customers and I both receive the mail as expected.
The installation was made from scratch.
Any ideas?

Needless to say that in case of multiple languages your additional modules, vQmdo's etc. need to have the languages to.
Using a package like this requires more knowledge from you then from an ordinarily user of OpenCart, you need to do translations, set correct Ge-zones and Tax related settings etc.

I got the same error like this when I install.
Easy to fix is : just create a blank file with name: config.php in your root web.
that's it to resolved your problem
