Special Offers require a Customer Group to be selected.

If this is set to 'Default', the Special Offers show when not logged-on but when logged-on, only Special Offers for the related Customer Group are shown (and the default ones disappear). This means that if there are ten Customer Groups and it is desired to always show a Special Offer, the same discount needs to be added ten times; one for each Customer Group.

Given that there is a Priority field so that Customer Group Special Offers could be set to override the Default one if desired, it would be far better to change getproductspecials() to show Special Offers if the Customer Group was Default OR the current user's Customer Group.

(An alternative would be an 'All Groups' option).

I agree with this. I just put in a special for 11 groups... a bit insane!!
