hire button option

Not sure if i'm in the right place but here goes.
Ive looked on the forum for any modules etc that might do this but cant find anything, I have a friend that has a wedding hat hire business and is looking for me to design a site for them. My question is that customers can browse the site as a online store but when the ADD To Cart button was presssed the item details were appended to and email on the contact us page automatically with possibly a date picker in there somewhere. She will be selling items in the future so the shop would be a normal store but the hire option would be a nice touch.
are there any scripts already done or is it some simple script edditing.

No that is not a real simple edit but it is possible... it would have to be paid work for something like that
