Hi, i have used opencart before and i love it but im still a noob. The thing is i'm installing it for a client and after i set it up and i get to the admin login (step 4), i cant access it, I dont get an error, it just says the log in information is incorrect. I checked the databse and it doesen't save the administration email but other than that it seems fine, i do the same over wamp, and it works like a charm. Can anyone help me out? ??? BTW i checked with my hosting and everything seems to be working on their end. Please i need to solve this, im way behind schedule. Thanks in advance guys.

Check the paths are correct in the admin config.php script.

Have you tried to wipe clean and do a fresh install?

Yes, a total of 5 times :-\ . Fresh install, new databases and all. I don't know what is wrong. I even downloaded 1.26 and 1.25 to see if they worked but nothing.

Ok, i was checking the user table, and it doesn't seem to be saving the info of the admin, i mean i saves the name and password, but it doesn't save the email or the ip and it doesn't change the status of the user from 0 to 1. I don' know if that helps to figure out whats wrong...

This a working installation, in the same hosting for a client, installed by me.

This is the user table from the new installation, it doesn't have any of the fields recorded.

Hi,

Did you manage to solve this? I am having the exact same problem and wondered if you had found a solution? I'll be very grateful if you can help me out at all. Thanks.

f the domain is not a true domain then this problem occurs. Its like if you use your localhost to run magento store,then you will face this problem.

You can overcome this by browsing using ur ip address or you can remove these three line from the following page.

app\code\core\Mage\Core\Model\Session\Abstract\varien.php

$this->getCookie()->getDomain(),
$this->getCookie()->isSecure(),
$this->getCookie()->getHttponly()

Comment these lines line (may be at line 78…);

Hope magento admin will work now on your localhost with the following url. :)

http://localhost/magento/admin/

Just try out and play with your stores……
