Last week I installed opencart with a one click installation with softaculous. However, I wasnt totally convinced it was fully installed as the progress bar only got to about 25% of the way and a message came up that the link was broken. It did say on the bottom of the page that it was installed and I could see some of the details like db name etc.
Tonight I went on log on to my admin page and as I hadnt the passsword to hand I guessed it a couple of times. I then clicked on forgotten password and entered my email address. The puzzler here is though it sas there is no record of my email at all. On the bottom of the softaculous page I was asked to enter my email in order for my installation details to be emailed to me, which they werent.
Can anyone tell me if is installed correctly. I did find my original password and I can access front and backend of the shop and make changes etc.
If its not installed correctly will I have to do it again or is there somewhere I can register my email. I dont want to do anything in my shop until I know its installed properly in case I have to delete it.

Don't use one click installer. Do a manual installation. Upload the files, then run website.com/install
I deleted the fist installation and did a manual installation. It now works fine. Thanks for your help
