Hi,

is there a solution for transfering clients and order data from 1.4.9.6 to 1.5 ?
Already looked but only found an answer for transfering the product data.

Thank you !!

Yes I mean something like that, but without the transfer of the products because that is already been done. I thought maybe there was a possibility to export the orders and clients SQL data from 1.4.9.6 with myphp and than import it back in 1.5.1.

In that case, I would recommend setting up a clone of your 1.4.X version, upgrading using that, and then exporting and importing the necessary tables. You'll need to upgrade the database or you'll have a whole lot of trouble since orders and customer tables have changed

Indeed, I think that's the only solution.
Thx for the replies !!!

In the mean while I had another problem that is almost solved.
With an RAW export/import extension I can transfer everything very easy, but I can't find a free extension for 1.5.3.1.

If you can upgrade the tables, you can just use phpmyadmin or even the basic export/import that comes with OC - I'm not sure why you don't just do the upgrade on the whole database and use that - will save you needing to transfer anything really

Hi there,
If you need to move customers and orders you can check cart2cart service. During the migration process you can select entities that you would like to migrate, so you can move orders/customers without moving products. However, your client's will have to recover their password since this data is encrypted and can't be migrated.

??? USD 49,00

In the meanwhile there are a lot of other extensions available for less then USD 10,00 that do the job.

Hi,
actually I have also tried cart2cart (http://www.shopping-cart-migration.com/). and I was satisfied. I searched a lot on the net, and i didn't find a service for such cost (not to mention "less than $10") ii think it is quite a relevant price for the functionality they offer. and for your peace - as i didn't worry about any issues and had everything migrated as I wanted. my store works great - that's what important. I'd pay much more to fix it if I something went wrong. so of paid services, i think cart2cart is the best one
