Gateway Security is a small group of IT professionals with years of experience in the online security field.

The Colossus module is a project we have been working for in the past few months. It's idea is to provide a reliable anti-fraud solution to most e-commerce applications on the market.

Since OpenCart's code is structured extremely professionally we decided to develop a module which will provide automatic fraud protection to OpenCart users.

You have introduced yourself as 'a small group of IT professionals with years of experience in the online security field' .Having that in mind, I would like to ask you if getting people to fill data on unencrypted web, force to accept non-existing terms and conditions (404) and leave you open door to sensitive data without knowing who you are,where are you from, what do you do and how much do you charge for it is all right ?

The website has only recently been completed. Thank you for pointing out the the issues with the incorrect link and the problems with the registration form. We have fixed those issues and we are constantly looking to better our service as well as our website.

Registration is free of charge and all data from the module to our system and back is transmitted through secure SSL encrypted connection.

The monthly plans and pricing are available in the Client Area after your registration is complete.

Sorry, but that still does not inspire confidence or represent a favorable reputation in this community. From where I stand, your proposition remains phishy.

- You joined the forum just prior to posting your advertisement. You have not contributed to the forum in order for us to get to know you and trust you as a person [or company] or as a competent developer.
- You posted in the Free Contributions section, despite the fact that yours is a paid service. Offering a free sample, or 30, does not constitute a free contribution.
- Despite a direct request for pricing information, you refuse to divulge it prior to collecting personal information from the applicant.

Had you performed your due diligence by participating in the forum, rendering appropriate advice as you can, and soliciting user input in the formulation of your add-on, you likely would have had more than a few of us willing to try you out even in the face of such a small amount of information as to how the add-on interfaces with our business operations.

For example, you do not mention exactly what happens once your add-on renders a negative decision. What message is delivered to the customer? What alarm is raised with the store operator? What options are offered to each party to rescue an order from being improperly blocked? How is this done so that an illegitimate customer goes away frustrated, yet a legitimate customer has a smooth path to success in reinstating the order? Why are none of these points addressed in your sales pitch?

Thank you for your reply and for pointing out some important problems with our approach to the community.

Yes, we have just joined this forum and our first contribution is this free module. We have no history with the forum because we had not developed prior OpenCart related code.

The module is posted in the free contributions section because it is free and if we post it as a paid contribution OpenCart users need to pay to download it.

For now we have two basic plans for our service:

1500 queries/month - $5/month
3000 queries/month - $10/month

The module does have options to block an order by several criteria such as:
-if the client has entered an email address from a free/disposable email service.
-if the user's billing address country or ip address location country is high-risk country
-if the order is submitted by an open proxy
-if the ip location country is different from the billing address country
-if the order's risk score is higher than a certain value you choose

However, the module does not block any orders if you do not configure it to do so. In general it will send the customer's data over HTTPS to the verification server which will asses risk factor of the order and return it to your store admin. Then you can use the insight from the collective checks to decide if the order contains anomalies and mismatches which often are related to fraudulent orders and decide to accept the order or do further verification (by phone for example).

If you have selected to block orders from an open proxy for example and a client tries to submit order from a proxy server he will receive a javascript alert like this:



Then he will immediately be redirected to the index page of your store with his/hers cart contents intact.

I'm sorry for the delayed reply.

To fix the PHP Notices please download the Colossus archive from our website or the OpenCart extensions site and upload the files again. There was a small bug in the public_html/admin/controller/sale/order.php file which we fixed.

Please feel free to contact our technical support from your Client Area -> Support section if you encounter any problems with using or installing the module.

does the module work with latest version of Opencart install?

I think it great work and you having a big IT company. The download link you put in this are very good and its very good that you give free software for register users. Fraud Detection
