Does UPS Extension use discounted rates?

Hello,
I am using opencart version Version 1.4.8 and have just installed UPS shipping extension.
It is doing exactly what I want EXCEPT it is using standard rates rather than my discounted ones. I
contacted UPS support who suggested I wait a week and it might start using my rates. Not exactly
a definitive answer so can anyone tell me if it will pick up my rates?

I am having this same issue. Have you tried getting a new access key from UPS lately? That seems to solve a few peoples issue.
