How long should it take a Newbie to

make an OC with 300 products?

1. Download OpenCart (~2min)
2. Upload OpenCart to your server (~5min)
3. Create database in cPanel (~2min)
4. Install OpenCart (~2min)
5. Download Export/Import Excel Tool (~2min)
6. Install the tool (~1min)
7. Export your current demo product list (just to get the format template and open file in Excel (~1min)
9. Enter all your products (~44 min)
10. Import the xls file back to OpenCart (~1min)
Done

It's official! You're a better man than I! 300 products in 44 minutes! Man alive! How fast can you type?

Brand new to all of this so thank you in advance for you patience.

Downloaded the correct export / import version for my OC..... 1.5.2.1

Thru FTP, uploaded the "UPLOAD" file into my root directory which was blank since this is a brand new host.

Don't know if it matters, but again, I didn't have a VQmod previously as I am brand new to OC.

I am using Blue Host, installed OC 1.5.2.1 thru their Cpanel simple scripts.

As instructed in the read me..... I tried to set access rights in the top admin but there is NO entry for "tool / export" to select.

I have gone to the admin page in OC and can't find any reference to import / export.

Went back to FTP to verify that everything is loaded. From what little I know about programming, admittedly, everything looks correct.

Uninstalled OC 3 times........ installed and then tried again.

I followed the instructions by doing the following the change below, only one that I saw that wasn't correctly identical.

Readme said to change this......

Other than that, everything else is identical in both the followings since I didn't have a previous vqmod folder and am using what was uploaded in the import / export tool.

Although I didn't think it relevant, I changed the above with no difference so changed it back to original.

What do I need to do now?
