Hi, Ive installed the free Miwa theme under catalog/view/theme. It shows up in the store but when I select it and save changes, my store remains as the default theme.
I followed all the instructions given and have checked file permisions ( i think). Am I missing something? Has my OC been set up so that only the default store layout can be used? It came pre-installed with my hosting but I re-installed it again after having this problem.
I have version 1.5.2.1.
Please help!

I am having the same problem. I installed the free 'hyla' theme and followed the instructions correctly. I have changed the theme from my store settings but still it is showing the default theme. Could someone tell me what mistake am i making.

I am having a similar issue. I keep revising my stylesheet.css but it keeps "looking up" the default one.
1.5.3.1
Silly mistake on my end, didn't change header.tpl references.
I don't think this will help you guys, ignore this!
But regardless bump for you guys!

If you are just copying the default template and renaming it to something else so that updates are not overwritten in the original default template don't forget to change the header.tpl file also. (in theme template folder)
