Support for this extension has been SUPERB! And on top of that it's a great product too. ;-)
Couple of quick queries though:
1) Where can we change the title of "Blog Categories" to something else?
2) Where can we switch off the showing of article images?
Basically I'd like a simple box on my pages which has a title, say "Information" and below that links to my articles. That would be fine using Blog Categories module as it produces a simple text list, only I don't want the title "Blog Categories". So I tried with the "Article Box" module where I could easily change the title because it takes the category names.... only each article has an image alongside it which I don't want.
Once again - great support and an excellent module.

the useful of that 2 module is not the same.
blog category will show all the categories.
articles box will show the articles which is belong to 1 category or the latest.
Q1/ edit inside the file: catalog/language/[your language]/module/news_categories.php
Q2/ for remove the image, I am going to make an option for that, but will take few days or weeks.
in case you are in rush, you can take a look at this link:

Thanks for the reply & suggestions. Good news about the future option to turn off images.

Thanks for getting back to me. Yes, Shoppica theme here. ;-)
It would be great to have the option of disabling image thumbnails everywhere. Everyone's use of your excellent module will be different, but for me and possibly others the thumbnail image(s) simply aren't required throughout the site.

Just one other quick query please: When creating articles there's a box for 'Intro text'. I don't need any intro text on my article(s) but the plugin forces me to have at least 3 characters.
Guess I could just pad each one out with spaces (which the module accepts), but is forcing introduction text really necessary?

Also there's an updated version of Shoppica ('Shoppica 2') which comes with the standard Shoppica download. As a result your patch for Shoppica no longer installs, probably due to path name changes.

there is the new version of the extension, with many option to enable or disable for.... default theme.
I'm luckily that don't have time to make that features for shoppica 1.0.12.
but now is crazing with the shoppica 2.
with the new version of the extension, without the patch, it can work with the shoppica2. but there is not shoppica style and a little broken of the layout. and no top menu for the news category and blog.
Do you think I can ask the developer of that theme for the support fee? ;-)

How do I get the new version?
Also I would like to be able to put the articles/pages in a top menu that is seperate from the shop menu. I will be using vqmod to add the changes so that it won't interfere with updates etc but what short code do I use for menu items?

OK, So I have downloaded the new version. In settings there are the checkboxes to remove the image and the comments and read times which are already unchecked.
However, this doesn't seem to change what appears on the page?
Intro text is still there, read x times and comments is still there.
The image error has gone though, so that one must have worked!
