I was looking for an extension for OC that supports a product listing with dividers between the subcategories. For example, look at the J Crew site product category for Shirts and Tops:
http://www.jcrew.com/womens_category/shirtsandtops.jsp
Within that page there is a divider for Sleeveless, then Blouses, etc.
