Hi!

I am still in the process of figuring lots of stuff about OpenCart (and loving it so far!!). But what I can't figure out is that the shipping step in my checkout seems to have disappeared!

The only module I installed is Canada Post, and it was working after install. Now I installed a new template, a few modules that had nothing to do with shipping, using vQmod. And now I only have steps 1,2,3,5,6 in the checkout.

I tried reverting to the basic theme, disable Canada Post, nothing does it.

Could anybody point me in a general direction where I could start looking to solve this please ?

Actually, my problem was linked to the product I was testing with. I have no clue what I did to that product, but I created a new one, put it in ma cart and bingo! My missing shipping step was back. Hope this helps.

also the error log says:

2012-02-09 1:23:56 - PHP Warning: fsockopen() [<a href='function.fsockopen'>function.fsockopen</a>]: unable to connect to sellonline.canadapost.ca:3000 (Connection timed out) in /home5/ivanchan/public_html/kevinsportsstore/catalog/model/shipping/canadapost.php on line 183

That could cause the problem.

Also when I disable Canada Post module, then everything works fine.

You need ton contact your hosting provider to open port 30 000 for you. You also need to make sure you have port 30 000 in your set up, and not 3 000.

Found the answer in another post. Client had set 'requires shipping' to 'No' on all 640 products!!!
All sorted now.

like some of you guys.. I too came across the same issue.. i didnt notcie it initially but after i did some changes to forms their, i thought i had messed up something or its an issue with browser as sometimes I was able to get step 03 and 04 as well. ??? ??? ??? ???

Yes, its just a simple issue.. If we don't select Require Shipping in that product Data section. Step 03 and step 04 doesnt show up.

This is where i got the solution from.. above post too says the exact solution !!! :crazy: :crazy: :crazy:
