Assign image to Product Option

Hi

I have a product, let's say A, and this porduct is available in 4 colours. I can add the color option in admin, but i cannot assign an image to this option.

I have different patterns for different colors, what would be the same for each product all over the site, because they mean the material.

I'd think that if they're working on the ability to maintain stock for each product attribute (colors, sizes, whatever) that they'd then be able to add this in there fairly easily as the database table and relations for the attributes would already be built for the stock checking.
I THINK they're working on that for the next version and therefore MAY have a good chance of being in that version, or it could be a plugin thereafter.

Can't you just place it in "additional images"?

The options just appear in a drop down box anyway.

What i ment was the image changes with the colour change from the drop down
