Hi all,

I've got OpenBravo POS (community version) semi-integrated with Opencart. At the minute, I've got a couple of scripts and background processes that continually sync the database of the POS system and the website. I'm taking this further and looking at full integration from within the POS system, but that's a few months off yet :)

I'd be happy to supply the scripts to anyone that wants them - just send me a PM. You require access to either crontab or task scheduler on the POS computer, along with PHP5 and MySQL. [NB: The synchronisation only works for OpenBravo installations that use MySQL as their database!] [NB2: I have only tested it on OpenCart 1.4.9.x!]

All I ask is that if you do use them and find an issue with them (or maybe have a better solution for a particular issue) then you send your issue/fix to me so I can keep my copy up to date with the latest fixes.

Regards,
-A :D

Have you guys looked into eCC? Its a desktop application that integrates all PC versions of QuickBooks and Quickbooks POS with your opencart store and also automates shipping, so your data entry time's cut down substantially.

There's a free trial you could sign up for to see if it works for your e-biz. Learn more at http://www.webgility.com/quickbooks-int ... encart.php or call us at 1-877-753-5373

Thanks :)

LightSpeed (www.lightspeedretail.com) that's something I would pay to have. They already have integration with Magento but should offer more platforms.

I did post on their forums but unfortunately their community is smaller than it is here.

Also LightSpeed do have a Developers API available but it's $400+ for a licence but I do believe it will be the next best thing in retail within the next 6 months to a year.

Are there anyone willing to develop a Point-Of-Sale extension inside OpenCart? I find OpenCart is powerful enough, what we need is an POS interface.

Easy Multi Flat-Rate Shipping - Allows you to set multiple flat shipping rates.

I know this topic already is here for quite some time. However already when searching for an Opencart POS solution I visited this page a couple of times hoping there would be a good solution available.

We decided that it will be better to start creating our own basic implementation and of course we would like to know if you guys are still interested in a solution and if there are functionalities you need.

I know we just have the basics here but already that's much more than nothing. A screen shot will show a bit more of information:

It looks intriguing and any word on plans, time frame, or otherwise for your POS module or otherwise? I'm looking into using Opencart for a Flower Shop and would love to have both local POS and online sales handled from the same interface.

So far, what I've seen of previous offering doesn't provide much confidence and any input and insight on your options would be greatly appreciated! Sorli...

Looks like it is making progress.

Are you taking requests?

Do you need help Beta Testing?

Options I'd like:
  • 1. Discounts by amount and or percentage (10% coupon, etc...)
    2. Quick Sale Items - items not in inventory inputted manually for quick sale
    3. Invoice Printer - with options for short bill of sale receipts and long form (where in the flower business you can add notes "To my Loving Wife...Happy Anniversary!" or similar) printed to legal sized paper with perfs for notes and delivery
    4. Account Sales - this is part of Opencart already (at least I think), but not sure how you can integrate this option into the POS
All for now and thanks for the insight! Sorli...

Has anyone considered or created a plugin or module that would connect Microsoft POS 2009 to OpenCart? This would be completely epic!

I install the QR-code free module to my opencart, so I have QR-code for each product,
Then I find a desktop qr-code software working with my webcam
then I print out the qr-code of each product on labels and put the label on my products

so each time I scan my qr-code label, my product page will come up and I will add it to shopping cart

when I check out, I choose cash and carry /pick up from store options

But I need to find a way to print out the qr-code labels all at one time

PHP POS is now commercial but there is an open source version called Open Source Point of Sale at http://sourceforge.net/projects/opensourcepos/. OS POS has a pretty basic interface but is quite fully featured. Like OpenCart, it is written in PHP and uses mySQL. It also uses MVC architecture. I would have thought this would be a good starting point for creating a POS system that works with OC, either by rewriting OS POS to address the OC database tables or by creating 2 way replication between the OS POS tables and the OC tables.

A happy OpenCart developer from Brighton.
