Not sure if bug, but help on this one would be great

Hi All,
If you have a product, set to shipping not required, and setup for per item shipping then no problem.
it doesn't obtain the per item shipping.

but if you have a product set to no shipping required, and you add a item to your cart that does require shipping, then you end up having 2 per item costs added...

I see its reason... but it does generate a problem for me...

i am wondering if per item costs for shipping should still honer the no shipping required flag when an addtional item that does require shipping is added to the cart? (hope this makes sense?)

It's a kinda bug... in the fundamental. More in the way of giving people too much power can cause conflicts. If you are using per-item then its generic and assumes simply cart has 5 items. I will charge 5 items.

If you are looking to only add shipping on a per-individual item basis, I do offer my "Shipping by Product" mod that can do it. You can set an individual price for each item while adding/editing the item. This way there is no mistake.

thanks for that, I only have a very limited number of products that need this, if i really really need to obtain something then i will go down the path above. what are your prices in GBP? AUD?

it just seems over kill for around 5 products.... i note it says shipping costs based on price... yet i am after wanting to not have shipping costs applied to items that don't incur a shipping cost, products that don't ship.

nevertheless, will see what if anything else comes to light.
