I haven't installed OpenCart yet, but I'm planning to do it soon. My wife is concerned about the issue of integration with POS, as expressed by someone else... http://forum.opencart.com/viewtopic.php ... le#p261516. She wants to use QuickBooks and QuickBooks POS... but, I'd prefer to go with open source if possible. In the interest of keeping startup costs and overhead expenses down, I'm hoping to find a solution that doesn't have a license fee or monthly charges. I saw a reference to OpenBravo on that thread... and it looks promising, although she's skeptical whether it will keep update with tax laws that are prone to change. Also, integration for updating inventory is very important... able to use a barcode scanner and print barcode tags. Would anyone outline a basic software setup scenario that works well to manage this aspect of business without making it a chore?

To integrate QB and OC will require constant undated and you will be using someone else's server so I guess they will charge you a monthly fee.

When someone purchases from your OC store, the customer automatically receives an invoice. I also us QB but not QB POS. Install OC on a sever and try it out.
