Help with images in new template theme

Hi, after looking around for an open source website about a week now, hoping to improve on the oscommerce ive been using. I have just downloaded Opencart, Installed it and everything seems to work great. Though I'm no way an expert at web development.

I do have a slight problem which I hope is minor!

I copied the default theme folder, renamed it, and made sure the file permissions where the same. Also I copied and renamed the template image.

Ive changed to the new theme in admin and everything appears to be working fine, however when i checked the website the images are still showing the links to the default template theme.

eg. catalog/view/theme/default/image/content_top.png

How do i get the images to show from the new theme directory eg. catalog/view/theme/mytheme/image/content_top.png

I have refreshed the browser and cleared the cache etc.. and tried in both FF and IE.

Please could I have some advice on how to solve this problem, thankyou.

Edit file *.tpl on your 'mytheme' directory, replace all '/theme/default/' to '/theme/mytheme/' especially on 'common' folder, like header.tpl and layout.tpl.
