Hello,
i have issue with product/special.

When I use mozila or Opega, everything is OK, but in Internet Explorer not.
When I click to special, my theme is corupted.
http://www.abcsedacievaky.sk/index.php? ... ct/special

When i see source code, i see empty epace at beginning
EMPTY SPACE
EMPTY SPACE  <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd">
<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" dir="ltr" lang="sk" xml:lang="sk">
<head>
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8"/>
I think that my problem is empty space but I dont know how to fix it ( I use dotepad++ - I found on internet that it doesnt show space so I tried to use wordpad but nothing change )

HTML validator says:
http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http% ... %2Fspecial

http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http% ... cievaky.sk

Thanks for advice and sorry for my english.
Martin

Try changing your DOC TYPE to transitional.
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">

have you looked in the header.tpl to ensure that there is no space at the beginning of the file ?

Yes, I check it with Wordpad and notepad++ - without space.
Which editor are you using? I read that some dont show spaces..

I tried to convert header.tpl into UTF-8 without BOOM but nothing change (which coding should I use?)

Thanks

I solve it.
In history, I modified some file and I use bac codink.

I try to rewrite opencart with my backup and I found error in wrong coding of file
catalog/language/slovak/module/category.php

When i change code to UTF-8 without BOOM, everything is OK. :)

Thanks for advice

I have similar problem:

My header contains:
`<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd">
<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" dir="ltr" lang="cs" xml:lang="cs">
<head>
URL in shop is: http://<shopname>/index.php?route=product/category&path=199

This header is also in English version, but english page shows ok.

My bad :crazy: . I had suddenly left this apostrophe in one of the scripts - keyboard overtype ... Try spend few hours with scripts digging ;). May be ALT+F7 in free commander or so. But dot "." is everywhere in the scripts Martin. :/
