I am currently running OpenCart 1.5.2.1 and as we are almost close to completely launching our website (currently in béta-stage) I ran into a few problems regarding the checkout options.
Google and the search function already have been used but I couldn't seem to find an answer for the following question/problem.

Order something then head to check out; here I encounter the following 2 issues:
1) In "Step 1", there are no check-out options; how to resolve this? I have been experimenting with Geo Zones but the main idea is that we do not charge VAT nor do we charge shipping costs which means that the same setting is for all zones in the entire world. How do I perform this operation? I can't seem to get the "make a new account/sign-in" options appear in this step...
2) Step 1 - 2 - 5 - 6? Is it possible to change the 5 & 6 to respectively 3 & 4? If so, how to do this?

That is the point, you need to try checking out (don't need to complete the order); normally if you don't have an account; there will be a step 1 which makes you either register a new account or log in. That isn't showing up for me.

Also if your products don't need to be shipped, just state as such on the product data tab ... 'requires shipping' No .. this will remove the shipping address and shipping method from the checkout process
