I agree that this is very confusing for our cusomters. They just press the checkout and skip the cart and email us saying they never have a change to enter the codes. This is a big oversight and I'm finding that in many ways I liked 1.4 better, I have only upgraded so that I can add some new extensions.
There are a few extensions that add the coupon code to checkout.

According to my view, There are many different types of coupons such as discounts, free shipping, buy-one get-one, first-time customer coupons and free giveaways. It will save our money. Please produce some more attachments about the topic for view detail information.
