warning no shipping options are available

Hi,
This is old news but I can't find any answer that will fixed my issue. I have just upgraded to 1.5.2.1 and now my USPS shipping module is not working. It gave me the following error "warning no shipping options are available. Please contact us for assistance". I have searched the forum low and high and none of the suggested solutions work.

Did you check to make sure USPS was enabled? And that it has some USPS rates selected?

Thanks for replying. Yes, I have followed all the steps suggested and it's still not working. I have a test site running OC 1.5.1.3 and USPS is working fine. Is there something in the new version that I might be missing? Please help!

I have exactly the same problem. Same error but with Royal Mail and weight based shipping. Works perfectly fine for Shipping domestically but fails with any international order and i get the same message: "warning no shipping options are available. Please contact us for assistance".

I have noticed that International orders still require a postcode even though they are set by default not to require a postcode. However, I do get the same error message if i put in a valid postcode, for example 90210, california, usa.

Please help!!!

Make sure you have the Geo Zone set to either all zones, or a zone that includes all your shipping areas.

We are getting this randomly as well.

I only have paypal set up as a payment option. This is happening so far with tickets for a dinner. There is no shipping required.

Some people get the error, some don't. At first I thought it was a firewall issue (paypal being blocked at the guys work) but it happened again last night to someone else.

We can't duplicate it in our own testing, but he sent me a screenshot.

<edit> I hopefully have fixed this. In the paypal setting screen, I had Geozone set to my state. Once I set it to all, the person who couldn't pay last night was able to today.
