Hi
My first post and first week with OpenCart which I think is brilliant. I have gone from nothing to building a full shopping site in a week.

The problem I have is if I go to edit a user the fax field which should be empty is then populated with the logged on users and the second confirmation is empty. I only want to go into a user and change the customer Group but because the fax has the wrong detail and the password and confirmation are different I get an error telling me the passwords are different.

I have checked SQL and the Fax field is empty in SQL so the script is picking the wrong value from somewhere. (my work around is changing the customer group in SQL rather than Opencart)

This is version 1.5.2.1 only installed last week
This is a clean installation.
I have attached a screen shot of the issue at the site below as a picture should help someone see what I mean.
http://mycollagen.co.uk/index.php?route=product/product&path=64&product_id=56

Apart from the default modules or extensions I have
Visitor Counter
Deadcow SEO
Google translate but have uninstalled it.

I hope I have given enough detail and thanks for your help in advance.

Hi, I admit I have noticed that the fax field for my customers has the store email address listed. I am using 1.5.1.3, & I think this happened on 1.5.0.5. It has never caused any problems, so I didn't worry too much.

Opencart Version 1.5.1.3

It does cause an issue if you try and amend a user as it also messes up the password. I found I had to update the User field using MyPHPSQL admin rather than the admin. If you get it as well then it sounds like a bug and it isnt just me.

I am having for the most part the same issue except the fax field is populated with the admin user name. If I go into the customer to change it I have to change the password as well.

This is actually due to the autofill from your browser. Basically it finds a password field, and then tries to fill in the field before it with your saved username and password
