New to all this - Can't get menu links to work.

The subcategories in my drop down Parent menu don't go anywhere. I get the following error message when I click on them:
"Notice: Error: Could not load language product/category! in /home1/lilterra/public_html/system/library/language.php on line 39"
I'm using the latest version of Opencart with a template I purchased from themeforest (Teez). If anyone can help that would much appreciated. Im sure this is an easy fix for people that have more experience then I do.

The files in the language folder are PHP if that's what you mean?
