Is there such a thing?

We have been using OC for about a week, really nice, easy to use etc.

However, forum support is very lacking and can only presume that this is due to the number of users - we also use Actinic (commercial) and have also used zen cart - forum support on both is brilliant.

Are we able to get a contract for either forum or telephone support? Otherwise we are going to have to find another cart - we have issues at mo and posts dont get replied to.

I think paid for support is a great idea, would really bring Opencart up to the next level with the bigboys.

I think that is the major downfall of this cart, if you mess something up you have to post, wait and hope, there is no guaranteed help.

I much rather pay for support and get the official solution, rather than waste time on forums that can either be outdated, incorrect or just go unanswered.

Just contact a developer then...

I could be wrong, but a developer would be hired for a project right? Not basic customer support? Like for example, I am currently pulling my hair out trying to figure out how to redirect all my variations of the homepage to www.mysite.com, so far I have discovered like 5 variations, even the products have variations.....301 redirects in the htaccess is causing issues...

This should be an easy fix, although there is no official documentation on it, so would it not be overkill to hire a developer for this?

Wow, thanks for the offer Jeremy, I might just take you up on that.

But first, can I ask what is involved? Like what will be changed? Just the .htaccess file? Will this be 301 redirects so I do not have any duplicate content on the website?

Also, is there a tutorial on this somewhere? I do not mind getting in there and trying stuff, but so far nothing seems to work right. At one point I did get most of the redirects to work, but some left a question mark after the domain name, strange.

No, i'll use the standard htaccess file and then just create a vqmod and then test it for you... easy as....

Just flick your details via PM and ill have a look and see what i can do for you...
