Hey folks.

I have had a good search, but cant find it even mentioned let alone a module of any kind for this one.

My idea is to have a "Finance" module. So when selecting payment method. You select "Finance"

Then rather as being taken to the checkout confirmation, it would take you to a page to request more details (Finance application form)(Or on the same page) to gather info needed for the finance application. (Years at address, salary, employment details etc)

Does anything like this even exist? I'm not a coding expert, but it may be simple enough to make.

An easy option would be to rename the bank transfer module, and then you just call the customer to collect the extra info needed to put through the application.

Any input ?

Scott

Hi Scott

As far as I know this isn't something that's been developed, at least not that's been advertised on this site anywhere sorry

Hi Scott. Have you found a solution for this "financing application"?
I spent almost hour searching for solution, but same as you - did not find anything.
Any ideas how much would it cost to make such module? What is the closest ready made module that i can use for customizing for this need?

Hey guntis.e,

I have checked out the module you did yourself. Is it possible to see real online version of the module in action?

Scott, did you ever manage to find a solution?

Thanks,
Bojan

Yes, it is implemented on a real site here http://www.kanclers.lv/. Unfortunately it is all Latvian.

When you make an order over Ls 100, at the checkout/payment step you are offered to choose a payment via inCredit Financing (http://www.diigo.com/item/image/x5w/1jtm)

At the checkout/confirm step, instead of CONFIRM button, you have a link which opens the leasing company form with the customer and order information already pre-filled
http://www.diigo.com/item/image/x5w/ahtr

As you can see, the implementation is very much depending on the particular provider of financing, as the form is sent directly to their system after filling in.

Hi,

I'm also looking for a finance module for opencart but due to cost of the finance packages to the business I cannot allow any products that are on sale or discount codes to be used. Is this an option with this plugin??

No, this module do not remove any discounts or disallow discount codes. This would also be tricky - how you can show one price on the store (with discount) and then remove discount at the checkout.

If I would need to do that, i'd think about implementing some addittional fee for the service. Like handling fee.

The idea was to place an "Finance Available" image on all products over £500 that has a Special value of null, not sure if that option could be checked at checkout? e.g "if Special value is >1 then disable finance option" without looking at the checkout code I'm not sure how that could work.

Ah, yes that is also a way to do. My implementation is looking for the total amount only. With a little tweaking it is possible to enable checking the Special value as well. Then the option to choose financing as a payment would appear only when both conditions are fulfilled.

Displaying availability of finance on the list or product page is something that has to be done. Not implemented yet.

J,
I am not further developing this module. If you are interested in a specific solution, lets discuss it. Just send me PM.
