I've seen this discussed on other boards but haven't seen it on the development forum yet.

I think this is one of those critical features that would take OC to the next level....a lot of people can be pretty flaky about creating user accounts to buy stuff.

A couple of my clients stressed the same point to me about this. It seems a majority of their clients do not want to 'register'. They just want to pay and be on their way.
