Export/Import tool for OpenCart 1.5.0.x

I found what I was after on line 1460 in the validateProducts function. At the end of the list I added the name of the column I wanted it to ignore and it worked a treat. I have done a test import with success, and running a backup doesn't export that column or interfere in any way I can see.

I did a clean install for Opencart 1.5.1.3 and installed the plugin. On trying to export, an Excel file was created, but it had only numbers in it. No Strings (names, descriptions, etc.) at all in any of the sheets. I remember having used the plugin in 1.4.x and it worked well at the time. I saw a post from another member in May 2011 with an identical issue, but there was no response.
Can you tell me what the issue is. I have followed all your instructions to the hilt

Hi,

I installed this module and everything was fine until i added more products and tried importing. I now get this error.

Fatal Error: Allowed memory size of 67108864 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 71 bytes) in /home/pclapto1/public_html/system/PHPExcel/Classes/PHPExcel/CachedObjectStorage/CacheBase.php on line 130

I have contacted webhosting and they advised me to add "php_value max_memory 128M" in .htaccess file but it has not made any difference.

I am able to export all products though.

Is there any documentation on how to use the import/export template?

I am trying to do some tests on import and it deletes all the existing products. Do I need to include the ProductID (number) in the import template for new products?

Do an Export first to see the format of the resulting XLS file, and then overwrite it with your own stuff.

I installed the plugin into my site however no Import/Export menu has appeared in the Admin Control Panel. I'm running on OC 1.5.2.1. Any ideas?

Under what configuration? Are you referring to Settings? Or somewhere else?

You haven't uploaded all the files, as per the readme.txt. Or there is no pre-installed VQmod on your OpenCart server.

I seem to be having trouble with my options as well. If an option isn't being used by any product, they have no product id, they will not be exported at all. If an option is being used by a product but not all its option values are being used, they will not be exported either. When you go to import the file, those options and certain option values are wiped out.

I am using dependent options by rph so I am not sure if that is causing any problems at all.

i have a question regarding the tool. up till now, everything worked fine (regarding importing products/attributes etc). my working excel file was under 2 MB. now that the excel file is a little bit over 2 MB, the tool wont work the way it supposed to be.

is this a tool bug, or is something else is going on ? can you please guide me (not only you) where to look, to fix this problem ? would be a shame not be able to use that amazing tool

It is an issue with your PHP settings in your admin/php.ini file. See the tool's readme.txt for an example of proper PHP settings.

ok, changed, to following values in the php.ini file with my host

memory_limit 512M
upload_max_filesize 16M

and everything works fine !!!

First let me say thank for this ext then I'll add I'm totally a noob on this export/import stuff and still learning my way around opencart. I have vqmod installed and just finished uploading the export/import tool. I tried the export and got the following error:

Error: Unknown column 'ov.image' in 'field list'<br />Error No: 1054<br />SELECT po.product_id, po.option_id,

I have no idea what needs to be done to fix the error or even what the actual issue is

Looks like you are using the wrong version of the Export/Import tool.

Every time i import products with this great tool my "view" been reset.
What can i do to not reset this?

If i have a box like "most viewed" in the store, it will be a problem.

The PHPExcel_Styleis defined on line 36 in the file /home/aifel/public_html/ocart/system/PHPExcel/Classes/PHPExcel.php, so clearly a wrong error message. What is your PHP version?

Are you talking of the Products.viewed column?
